Late by some standards, my interest in photography and artistic expression didn’t surface until my late teenage years, when I was learning to dive in the muddy waters of central Ohio. Perhaps more surprising, I technically landed a job as a photographer before I even owned a camera. I’ll forever be grateful for the small business—and the used cars they sold—that allowed me to cut my photography teeth on the backroads of Ohio. But I’d be lying if I said my approach hadn’t evolved to align with a passion that had previously been dormant.

To date, photography and film have taken me to six nations, led me to circumnavigate the globe twice in a single year, and given me the chance to sleep in a hill-tribe village in Chiang Mai, dive into salt water, fresh water, and even sulfur clouds—all while forming meaningful relationships with people along the way.

These journeys, and those still ahead, are part of the fierce passion imagery has awakened in me. But beyond the places I’ve been, the personal growth fostered has been the greatest reward. Working across cultures, industries, and mediums has deepened my appreciation for the quiet beauty and nuanced stories of the world around me. With eight years’ experience, my work reflects a commitment to decentering myself, allowing the stories of scenes, individuals, and moments to emerge authentically. Driven by a deep respect for human connection, my goal is always to build trust and put people at ease, creating imagery that resonates with empathy and truth. As a patient observer, I approach each project with openness and curiosity, capturing unguarded moments of genuine connection.
